Southampton Join Wolves In Tracking Talented Swedish Youngster – Report Reveals The Fee Club Would “Gladly Accept’

|

With a poor start to the 2019/20 Premier League campaign for Southampton manager Ralph Hasenhuttl, there are certainly those fans who feel he’ll be given the January transfer window to further tweak the options in the squad as we look to get back on track and replicate the improvements we saw following his arrival last season – and this week it’s been suggested that Swedish midfielder Dejan Kulusevski could be a target come the New Year.

The 19-year-old midfielder has only made three substitute showings for parent club Atalanta, but he was shipped out on loan this year to Serie A side Parma, and by all accounts he’s doing well and impressing. With 13 games under his belt, the attacking midfielder has already scored twice, and provided five assists.

Outlet Corriere Della Sera have now reported that we are keeping tabs on him, alongside the likes of Inter Milan and Wolverhampton Wanderers.

There appears to be an expectation that Atalanta will recall him to arrange a sale if a 25million Euro fee is met, and whilst it’s unlikely Southampton would cough that up in January, the report does claim they would be comfortable with a loan to buy deal – somewhat splitting the fee I imagine.

Given our form, there will certainly be plenty of speculation about fresh faces but the biggest question for most fans will simply be, will Ralph still be in place come January?

€25m well spent?
